REVLON LIP BUTTERS

I'm sure by now you have heard about the Revlon color burst lip butters.  They come in several different shades in all the usual suspects.  Pinks, deep reds, browns and lilac.  I have 2 shades, lollipop (bright fuchsia) and strawberry shortcake (a mid toned pink)  Not only are the shades flattering and the color payoff amazing, the moisturizing factor is fabulous now that we are getting into the colder months.  




Imagine a lipstick and a chap stick mixed together, that is exactly how I would describe this product.  Happy shopping, hope you try them out!  




                                                      

day of birth.

On this very day 26 years ago yours truly was born into this world!  Thought I'd get on here and ramble a bit.  Not to be a drag, I'm glad to have celebrated another birthday but its not all cake, candles and presents anymore.  Remember the days as a child you'd wake up first thing and be super excited its your birthday!? This morning I woke up to Facebook messages wishing me a happy birthday, even my grandparents opted for the FB message instead of calling me! Nice.

In fact I did not receive one actually phone call, even from the women who gave birth to me! haha how tinges change as the years go one, hahaha.  So tonight in true small town fashion I am going to a local hole in the wall bar, meeting up with great friends, eating some good bar food and drinking the night away!

For those of you that watch NY INK on tlc thursday nights at 10 my long time friend whom I've known since middle school is tattooing on the show.  Her name is Megan (goes by megan massacre) she has always been an amazing artist and when she puts her tattoo gun to skin she makes amazing life long art work.  I have a few tattoos by her done about 7 years ago when she was just starting out.  So for my 12th tattoo I plan to go visit her at the wooster street social club in Soho (where she is working and the show was filmed) and get a tattoo of a great icon tattooed on my right thigh.  Bettie Paige is who I'm talking about.

What Im loving.

Sorry I have been hiding away from my blog lately but as usual I'm having internet connection problems! Spring has finally sprung and I couldn't be more excited to see all the colors come back to life outside. Is it warming up where you live? Florals for spring!

As a massage therapist my hair has to be kept back all day and that can get pretty boring! If your in the same boat as me finding subtle hair accessories like the adorable on trend floral head band from forever 21 will do the trick. You can also try putting a small braid on one side and pull you hair in a low pony and its a good thing low messy buns are in I rock that too! I'm a fashionista at heart who 5 days a week has to wear her hair back and wear scrubs but I love my career and its worth it.

olay professional cleansing system

Want a clarasonic but dont have $200 to spend on one? I have discovered the Olay ProX version of a clarasonic and I got mine for $25 it works just as well, they even look almost identical.  I am very pleased with the deep clean it gives my face. HANDS DOWN I THINK THIS IS THE BEST PALETTE FOR SPRING! THIS WILL DEFINITLY GET YOU OUT OF THE WINTER FUNK. NYX mascara's

I recently purchased two mascaras from the nyx cosmetics sale on hautelook...here are my thoughts.  The doll eye mascara claims to be a lengthening mascara but after 3 coats the mascara barley builds up and the wand is rough on the lash line it also clumped my lashes like crazy, I'm not a fan.  However I loved the propel my eyes mascara it claims to "propel" your eyelashes in 4 ways with the wand and it seems to do that, made my lashes volumized and lengthened with 2 coats.  No clumping and has a wet consistency. A hallmark holiday.

Sigma Brushes

Looking for good quality brushes compatible to MAC for a much more affordable price? Try Sigma brushes! I have the E40 Tapered blending brush which blends like a dream and doesn't shed brush hairs and the F15 duo fiber powder/blush brush. I use it for blush and it allows me to use my more vibrant colors, it makes them much more wearable. The packaging was cute, the brushes came in a nice pink bag, I love little touches like that. Collective Haul & Review (drugstore products)

Collective meaning I have bought these products over the past 2 weeks.  Lets start with the drugstore item, most I bought at Ulta. The new Rimmel moisture renew lip gloss in Pink Benefit-Right away you can tell it is very moisturising! The color is not opaque but it was a good overall color payoff. It has SPF 15 as well as vitamins A, C and E.  Definitly go and check this out! NYX winter in moscow pallette-comes with 2 blushs (1 matte and 1 shimmer in pink tones), 5 lipglosses (dark mauve to medium pink range), 14 eye shadows (black, greys, silver tones, broze , dark green and a matte white high light) and also has a good size mirror.  Would be great for travel! Check it out at http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/  I also picked up the john freida frizz ease creame serum overnight repair formula-to be used at night before bed.  Its a light weight serum you work into hair then wash out in the morning. They recommend you use it 2-3 ties a week.  I tried this last night and it made my hair feel amaing this morning!  I have thick wavy hair that get's frizzy and you couldnt even tell if you felt my hair today.  This product is a must!

Clinique skincare and CCO's

I have extremely oily skin and even in my mid twenties still have some acne.  Yesterday I bought a sample set of clinique to see if the product work for my skin and do the things it claims it will.  The kit came with a liquid face soap, an under eye cream, spf 25 city block facial lotion, mascara, makeup remover and the toner all made for oily skin.  I used the face wash this morning so here starts the journey to see how it work for me! I will say I am impressed with the under eye cream so far it had made the skin very soft. Over time it claims to help dark circles and fine lines, I'll have to get back to you on how it all works.

Also I wanted to talk about CCO's or cosmetic company outlets, they are a great place to find high end skin care, perfume and makeup at a discounted price. Most times you will find mac. bobby brown, clinique, etc. If you look on a search engine for locations that will probably be the best way to find on near you.  If you are in the south east Pennsylvania area try the CCO at the Philadelphia premium outlets located in Limerick or try the one located at the VF outlets in Reading.  Let me know if you have tried any of these products and what your thoughts are!

Current fixiation...

So my love affair with nail polish is back.  It was on hiatus for awhile but its back with a vengeance!  I can remember when I was a child watching my mom always pull out the OPI bottles of nail polish and paint beautiful colors on her nail wishing I could some day own that many nail polishes, haha.  Enter the present and boy do I have a collection.  I jumped on the new OPI Katty Perry collection, the black shatter polish is awesome!  I also got the teenage dream polish and its it my sparkly fantasy!!! As a 25 year old women I have had alot of life lessons and gosh I hope it gets easier, lol.  I keep myself busy with my career as a massage therapist, my 2nd job as a sales assoc. selling shoes at a boutique (who doesn't have multiple jobs these days?) and trying to hold on for dear life to happiness.  I love going on YouTube's beauty community (my user name is makeupgeekstunner if you wanna check me out!) I keep busy with scrapbooking, reading, shopping and music is a big part of my life.  I mostly into emo/punk. Not sure what else to say just yet...but here's to always moving forward.
